Edubuntu @ SMU 3 Jogja

Last week (yeah I know it’s already “basi” ^^), Kosha-Hendra(Hellsing_Bolt)-Me were introducing Edubuntu to some high school students at SMU 3 Jogjakarta. The presentation started at 2pm and last until … humm, I don’t know (since at 3pm I was leaving for another appointment … sorry guys), and Kosha and Hendra act as a speaker (hehehe, it was decided 5 minutes before the presentation wakakak).

First Kosha introduced Linux to the students using the presentation material created by Muhammad Ichsan (thanks bro, it’s really help), then a few demos about Ubuntu (actually Kubuntu) and Beryl for ultimate eyecandy for the students. And then Hendra start talking about Edubuntu, what it is, what application on it and much more. Actually the presentation was quite sucessfull, coz I heard from Kosha that the folks at SMU 3 were preety enjoyed and interested into linux. Well, and this made us think … should the Feisty party be held on high school? On my point of view, we must started to introduce the world of open source to younger generation (not just at university) and giving them the spirit as a developer, not just a consumer of technology. Arrgh, it may be too much as a dream, but why not?? Well for now, just enjoy the photos …
