Feisty Came Too Late

Phew … after 4 months, and 2 moths before gutsy released, I finally installed Feisty Fawn on my notebook. Why I did this?? Because last time I update my Edgy, the X-server won’t start after hibernation and suspend, and after doing some search here and there I found some solution using uswsusp but….. it only run on Feisty!!!!! darn …

Okay, Friday afternoon, the operation begun … backup some configuration files … and after few hours (yes, I spent those time for reinstalling all application, and yes again, I return to KDE) my baby finally could walk properly.

Suspend and hibernate runs perfectly using uswsusp, sound and videos played well, little tweak from my previous blog about viewing on LCD viewer, and last is compiz-fusion runs!!! …. huhuhu … Feisty is really cute!!!!

And today I found an annoying bug. Konqueror can’t browse my office windows networks!! Search here and there found the answer on http://forums.suselinuxsupport.de/lofiversion/index.php/t28140.html

Just add these line on /etc/samba/smb.conf

os level = 200
preferred master = True
domain master = True
wins support = Yes
local master = Yes

and restart samba … yess!!!!!

Oh …one more. I found a tool that could replace knetworkmanager (wich somehow buggy on my KDE), called KWireless Tools Pro. Go check it out on http://kde-apps.org/content/show.php/KWireless+Tools+Pro?content=63453

Oh, will this feisty baby only last for two months?? King Gutsy is crawling in the back of my neck …. brrrrr
